I probably wouldn't have noticed "Butterfly" if it weren't for that great guitar work that calls to mind things like "Green Onions" by Booker T. and the MGs. It seems that some of their fans were turned off by the "girlie" lyrics, but I liked the irony between the romantic lyrics, aggressive vocals and the clash of styles blended into the arrangement; it was like a fever dream. It's too bad they never really got past their demons. RIP

Please, don't do titles like this one. Other channels do this style and they're annoying as Hell. That's why I don't watch them. Edit to clarify: The subject matter is great, the video is great, the sort of guessing game style of title is what I don't like.

Slash will be remembered for his contribution to rock n roll, no doubt. Some of his music is iconic to say the least . But I counter that buckethead can play anything Slash does, but not likely vice versa.

Nikki Sixx calling himself a much better songwriter than John Corabi is hilarious. "I usually write a complete song in an hour" - YEAH, but it's typically a song about sex and girls, girls, girls. 🤪🤣 John Corabi wrote about things that were real, like sexual abuse, freedom of music and lives gone wrong - WAY more substantive. _Mötley Crüe_ is a GREAT ALBUM. It was a refreshing, whole new sound for the band, showing them at a creative peak in the bandmember's careers. I think the main problem was that it was so remarkably different than anything they had ever done before - after all, Mötley Crüe were considered to be the poster boys for "Butt Rock" - that there was no way that longtime Crüe fans were ever going to accept the new sound OR new lead singer and lyricist John Corabi as being the REAL Mötley Crüe. What should have happened was a change of name for the band. If that had happened, then obviously they would have gotten sued by Electra, but they probably could have settled out-of-court and at the same time made a fresh start with a new band name under a new record company. They could have eventually alternated between the two bands, with them reforming the Crüe with Vince Neil and alternating releases between Mötley Crüe and the Corabi project. I think that would have pleased everyone, John would have kept his job and both Nikki Sixx AND Vince Neil would have saved face. Boom.

Flick of the switch is a great album. Better than the other acdc albums you mentioned and better than the follow up to back in black....ftatr we salute you

Once again, 2 songs aren't "several." 🙄 Also, it wasn't just *Bob Seger* as a simple solo act; no, it was *Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band,* as those albums you flashed on the screen clearly stated. 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️ Fun Fact, though: The Chevy Silverado is the *only* specific car model that had its own song. No other Chevy model had that song being used in their commercials; not even commercials for Chevrolet in-general used it. No other specific car models for any other car companies had a specific song. Unfortunately for Bob Seger, he was soundly criticized by almost everyone in the Rock community for allowing "Like A Rock" to be used commercially, a move which inspired Neil Young to write and record "This Note's For You" soon afterwards. (Eric Clapton's use of his new version of "After Midnight" and his former Blind Faith bandmate Steve Winwood's use of "Don't You Know What The Night Can Do" were also major inspirations for this song.) Bob Seger was lucky to have a song that even charted after that, much less go #1. P.S.: They've made _Beverly Hills Cop IV?!_ 😳

In the early-mid 70s Frank Zappa got crucified in the media for using orchestra backing tacks. He replied it was too expensive to take an orchestra on the road for a couple of songs. Today, there's been a switch. People apparently hate Trunk for calling out their idols and don't care that their false god is incapable of playing or singing.

These guys are great. I was their opening act back in 2011 in Qatar. Totally pro.

This is so sad. First we had it with grunge (Kurt Cobain, Scott Weiland, Chris Cornell), and now we're at the age where the nu metal singers are leaving us way too soon as well. We've already lost Wayne Static, Chester Bennington and now Shifty, and I rather don't want to think about who's next - maybe Jonathan Davis? He has been a mess for ages as well.

Eddie is entitled to his opinions just like anyone else. I listen to his show occasionally. I do agree with his take on using tracks during “live” performances. Some of his other takes not so much (I love Steel Panther, for example). But he talks about a topic that interests me, so I still listen to him some. I don’t think he is nearly as important as he seems to think he is sometimes, but whatever. His interviews are usually pretty decent but he definitely has his favorites and he loves to name-drop.
